McVCIS provides callers with free, 24-hour access to limited real-time case information through a touch-tone telephone. The public may call 1-866-222-8029 with a touchtone telephone 24 hours per day, 365 days per year to obtain the most requested information about cases in the Northern District of Illinois. The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois is aware that members of the public have received phone calls from individuals who claim to be federal law enforcement officers. These calls appear to be from phone numbers associated with the Court but are in fact spoof calls. If you receive a call from someone who identifies themselves as a law enforcement officer, or is claiming to be collecting a fine or payment, and the caller identification appears to be from the Court, please report it to the FBI Chicago Field Office and file a consumer complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
