This area of the website is designed to help members of the media secure media credentials, register for electronic case alerts, and sign up for news releases from the Courthouse. Media Credentials

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois recognizes the importance of providing access to information and court proceedings to members of the media. With the joint goals of more effectively providing access to court proceedings to members of the media and ensuring a secure courthouse, the District Court for the Northern District of Illinois has implemented a credentialing program for media members.

Electronic Case Alerts and Court Distribution List

The United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois offers official members of media outlets the opportunity to sign up for an account to receive e-mail notifications when an entry is made in the Court's Electronic Case Filing System (CM/ECF).
