Motions will be heard on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 11:00 a.m. in courtroom 1019. Motions must be filed no later than the third business day before the day the motion is to be presented. For example, if a motion is filed on a Monday, it may not be noticed for presentment earlier than Thursday. All briefs in support of or in opposition to any motion must comply with the 15-page limit set forth in LR 7.1. If you do not hear from the court by email, phone, or court order, the motion will be heard as noticed in open court even if agreed or unopposed.
This court does not require a courtesy copy of filings to be delivered, even if the filings exceed 10 pages, unless specifically requested. However, all exhibits attached to the filings in PDF must be bookmarked with short descriptions.
All requests to reset a status hearing, motion hearing or settlement conference must be agreed to by all parties.
From September 18, 2023, through October 6, 2023, Magistrate
Judge Young B. Kim will be accepting applications for one Judicial Law Clerk
position with a one-year term beginning in December 2023 or January 2024. (Successful candidate must clear background
check.) Applicants must have two to four
