The information on this and linked pages contains important information about Judge St. Eve's pretrial case management procedures. Please take the time to read it carefully. These policies and rules have been designed to facilitate the prompt efficient and equitable disposition of civil cases on Judge St. Eve's docket. The success of this court's trial procedures depends on your willingness to familiarize yourself with these materials and to act accordingly. Counsel will be expected to fully explain to the court any failure to comply with the court's pretrial procedures. All electronic filings (with the exception of exhibits) in Judge St. Eve's cases must be generated by printing to PDF from the original word processing file so that the text of the digital document is searchable. PDF images created by scanning paper documents are not searchable and may be used only for appendix or reference materials not available in PDF format.
COURTESY COPIES: With the exception of the initial pleadings (complaint answer attorney appearances) and agreed motions Judge St. Eve DOES require courtesy copies of any document electronically filed. Courtesy copies in a usable form (e.g. appropriately stapled bound or in binders) should be delivered to her courtroom deputy room 1238 within 24 hours of filing. Courtesy copies need not be delivered in an envelope unless the pleading contains under seal material. The Court prefers courtesy copies printed after a pleading is filed with the CM/ECF header stamp on the document.
REMINDER: A notice of motion should be filed as a separate document after the motion is filed. It should not be filed as an attachment to the motion.
