Rule 3.02 Amendments

The full Court met in executive session on Thursday, 12 December 1996, considered a technical amendment to section A of local General Rule 3.02. The amendment increases the fees for admission to the general and trial bars of the Courts. It also conforms the language to changes in the fees fixed by the Judicial Conference of the United States pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1914 that are to take effect on 18 December 1996. The fee increase is required in order to continue at the current level the program of reimbursing the expenses of court-appointed counsel in pro bono cases. The fee increase directed by the Court is timed to coincide with that mandated by the Judicial Conference.

Adopted by General Order of 13 December 1996

Effective date: 18 December 1996

The court further amended Rule 3.02 by General Order of 30 September 1997 to waive fees for law clerks and staff attorneys in the Seventh Circuit.
