Rule 21

Rule 21 Dismissal For Want Of Prosecution Or By Default

A. Inactive Cases

Cases which have been inactive for more than six months may be dismissed for want of prosecution.

B. Failure To Appear At Court Call

An order of dismissal for want of prosecution or an order of default may be entered if counsel fails to respond to a call of the case set by order of court.

C. Notice Of Court Call

Notice of court call shall be by publication in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin or otherwise as the court desires.
