Rule 3.80 Applicability Of Rules 3.80 To 3.99

Rules 3.803.99 shall govern the appointment of attorneys from this Court's Civil Pro Bono Panel (the "Panel") to represent, in civil actions or appeals (other than those in which appointment is pursuant to the Criminal Justice Act of 1964, 18 U.S.C. §3006A), pro se parties who lack the resources made to retain counsel by any other means. For each civil action duly commenced in this Court by or against such a pro se party, the judge to whom the action is assigned may issue an order of appointment and other orders relating to representation by the appointed attorney in accordance with these Rules. In civil cases assigned to a magistrate for all purposes or pursuant to 28 U.S.C. §636(b)(1)(B), the term "judge" in these Rules shall include a magistrate.
