Rule 2.02 Imposition Of Sanctions Relating To Interference With The Assignment System

A. Application of Sanctions to Employees of the Clerk's Office

No clerk or other employee of the Clerk's Office shall either (i) reveal the sequence of judges' names within any block of assignment cards except as ordered by the Executive Committee or (ii) number or assign any case or matter, otherwise than as provided by these Rules or as ordered by the Executive Committee. Any employee violating this provision shall be discharged from service.

B. Application of Sanctions to Other Persons

No person shall directly or indirectly cause or procure or attempt to cause or procure any clerk or other employee of the Clerk's Office (i) to reveal to any person, except as ordered by the Executive Committee, the sequence of judges' names within any block of assignment cards or (ii) to number or assign any case or matter, otherwise than as provided by these rules or as ordered by the Executive Committee. Any person violating this provision shall be punished for contempt of court.
