Rule 1.73 Executive Magistrate: Meetings Of Magistrates
A. Executive Magistrate
The Chief Judge shall appoint from among the fulltime United States magistrates an executive magistrate. The executive magistrate shall preside at any meeting of the United States magistrates, and shall be responsible for maintaining liaison on matters pertaining to magistrates with the district judge designated as liaison judge to magistrates, and for performing such other duties as the Chief Judge directs. The order of appointment will fix the length of the appointment which shall in any event be for not longer than two years.
B. Meetings of the United States Magistrates
The executive magistrate shall call meetings of the United States magistrates not less often than quarterly for the purpose of discussing matters of common interest to the United States magistrates in the performance of their duties. The clerk, or a person designated by the clerk, shall attend such meetings as secretary to the meeting.
