Emergency Judges And Matters Relating To The Emergency Judges

Rule 1.22 Emergency Matters

Matters brought before the Emergency Judge as emergency matters must be of such a nature that the delay in hearing them that would result from their being treated as any other matter would cause serious and irreparable harm to one or more of the parties to the proceeding. Requests for continuances or leave to file briefs or interrogatories in excess of the limits prescribed by these Rules will not normally be entertained as emergency matters except during the summer sessions.
