Rule 1.12 Records Of The Court

A. Place of Keeping Records

The records for the Eastern Division shall be kept at Chicago, and those for the Western Division shall be kept at Rockford. From time to time the Clerk may, pursuant to order of the Chief Judge, transfer records in closed cases to the Federal Records Center.

B. Copies of Records

The Clerk, on request and upon prepayment of costs, shall make copies of any document in his/her custody unless prohibited by law or court order.
