RULES 1.00 To 1.09 ORGANIZATION OF THE COURT

Rule 1.04 Secretary Of The Court

A. Designation

At the September meeting of the full court, a judge of the Court other than the Chief Judge shall be designated to act as secretary of the Court for one year. The least senior regular active judge of the Court who has not previously served as secretary and who is neither serving nor will be next designated to serve as Western Division Judge pursuant to Rule 1.07 shall be designated as Secretary.

B. Duties

The secretary of the Court shall make and maintain the official minutes of the meetings of the full Court. Whenever the Secretary is unable to attend the meeting, he/she shall make arrangements for another judge to act as secretary and shall inform the Chief Judge of such arrangements. Each secretary will turn over the collected minutes of the full Court.

At that meeting, the newlydesignated Secretary shall collect the reports of the supervisory judges made pursuant to Rule 1.06. The Secretary, jointly with the Chief Judge, shall be responsible for the preparation of an Annual Report of the Business of the Court and the state of its affairs as they are indicated in the reports of the supervisory judges.
