3-1. Meet and Confer to Select ADR Mediation Process


After the filing of a civil case or its removal to the District Court, counsel must confer and attempt to agree on an ADR mediation process, including the selection of a mediator from the court’s panel of mediators as found on the court’s website at http://www.ilnd.uscourts.gov.  At the initial case management conference before the court, counsel are expected to report to the court on whether agreement on court referred mediation has been reached and whether a mediator has been selected.
