|Case Compensation Maximums for CJA
Vouchers in excess of the case compensation maximums, must be accompanied by a memorandum addressed to the presiding District Court Judge indicating that the case was extended and complex. These vouchers also require the approval of the Chief Judge of the 7th Circuit.
|* This category includes but is not limited to the following representations: Probation Violation, Supervised Release Hearing, Parole Proceedings under chapter 311 of title 18, U.S.C., Material Witness in Custody, Civil or Criminal Contempt, and Witness (Grand Jury, Federal, Congress, etc.).|
|Note: The court may, at any time during the proceedings, substitute one appointed counsel for another. Total compensation to all counsel is subject to the case compensation maximums permitted by the Criminal Justice Act.|
