Current Status Update (civil cases only)

Current Status Updates should be filed in one of two situations: (1) when the case is progressing as expected and there are no questions for the Court, or (2) when ordered to do so by the Court. Current Status Updates cannot exceed one page in length and must be filed jointly with the agreement of all parties. Current Status Updates must be electronically filed at least seven days prior to the upcoming status hearing date unless the Court says otherwise. The update should include a brief description of the progress of the case (e.g., case plan and discovery issues, pending motions, consent to proceed before a magistrate judge, settlement status.)

A courtesy copy of the Current Status Update must be delivered to chambers – Room 2588.
