MEDIATION PROGRAM FOR THE WESTERN DIVISION

It is the desire of the court to provide all parties with an opportunity for resolution of their dispute which would occur potentially early in the litigation process in order to keep transactional costs at a reasonable level. Please familiarize yourself with the new rules and the new Case Management Order, available on this web site and in the Clerk's Office. At all initial pretrial conferences conducted after January 3, 2003, be prepared to discuss with Judge Reinhard or Magistrate Judge Mahoney the issue of mediation. We expect this to be a valuable service for you and for your clients and look forward to and appreciate your cooperation.

Scheduling Mediation At The Federal Courthouse

If needed, Room 214 in the Federal Courthouse is available for use by participants in the Federal Court ADR/Mediation Program. To schedule a room, please call Julia Mitchell, Deputy Clerk, in the office of the Clerk of the U.S. District Court at 987-4355.
